Cat!Germany x Cat!Reader: Struggle

    You had just woken up from a deep, long and cold sleep. Your tail was curled around your body and face, hoping to give you warmth, although it gave you none. Your owners had moved away and abandoned you. You had to survive off scraps in the alley and rarely hunted for yourself. You sometimes slept out on human's doorsteps, hoping that someone would take you in. Each time you got chased away. Your eyes fluttered open as the tip of your tail softly touched your small (n/c) nose. You struggled to get up, your body so very small and feeble. Your back leg screamed pain, causing you to whimper quietly. The day before you had been bitten by a dog on the leg. Hard. You slowly sat down, preparing for your morning wash. You began licking your fluffy (f/c) chest, then your tail. You then licked your paw and stroked your face and ears. After your bath, you slowly got up and quietly walked out of the alley, towards the nearby park. The only problem was crossing the road. You kept your slender body close to the outer walls of the stores so nobody could step on you, injuring you more. You quickly scampered under a parked car on the road, next to the sidewalk you were on. You rested there, eyes flashing back and forth to spot a traffic opening. Cars were rushing from every direction. After what it seemed forever, the cars stopped. You looked left and right quickly before making a delicate dash to the other side of the road. Your leg was stiff and it always made it hard to walk, nevermind run. You quickly jumped as another car flashed behind you. You had made it, luck was on your side. For now. You retreated to a bush at the corner of the sidewalk, beyond was the large park sheltered by brush and trees. You opened your mouth to smell the air, and picked up a cat's scent. No, multiple cats. Worst of all, they were all males. You knew that male cats were defensive over territory and driven by females. You wanted to be careful. You poked your head just beyond the bush while the rest of your body was sheltered by the bush. You saw that there was one cat grooming his curly, long blond fur with what seemed to be a collar with the French flag pattern, dangling from it was a small rose. Next to him was a black and white cat who was wearing a bow displaying the Austrian flag. He was also wearing... Glasses...? The French one scooted towards the Austrian cat. "Ooooh, Roderich..." The French cooed. The other batted his face with a sheathed paw. "Le~Ow!" The fluffy one cried. "You are absolutely disgusting, Francis!" Roderich exclaimed, scooting the opposite way. At least I know both of their names now. You thought. A fluffy white tabby with crimson eyes burst out of a bush behind the two nuisances with a little yellow bird buzzing around his large head. He had two mice in his mouth, dangling by their tails. "Zhe awesome Gilbert is back vith food, ja!" He said proudly, dropping the mice at his paws and pushing them towards the two cats bestowed in front of him, clearly started by the loud noise that was directly behind them. Roderich exhaled. "Do you mind just walking normally and quietly to us instead of making a scene each time?" He said, taking a mouse. "Vhy? Someone as awesome as me deserves to be noticed each time he brings a meal!" He said, earning an annoyed sigh from Roderich. Francis chuckled and took the other mouse. "Where is your frère?" He asked. "Behind me!" Gilbert said, moving to the side. You squinted your eyes to get a closer look. Slowly, a large blue-grey male came out of the bush behind Gilbert, holding a rabbit in his jaws. Just the sight of him made your heart skip a beat. He was very muscular and big, with a stern expression on his face to match his icy blue eyes. I wish I could have someone like that with me, to hunt for me... You thought sadly. He dropped the rabbit in front of himself. "Bravo, Ludwig." Roderich applauded. Ludwig. I love his name. You mentally took note. Ludwig nodded, not changing his expression. He suddenly sniffed, his pupils turning into slits. "Zhere is someone else here vith us." He said quietly. The other cats stayed silent, looking around warily. You stiffened, but you didn't move. You wanted to see what would happen. "Male or female?" Francis smirked, gazing at Ludwig quickly. Ludwig sniffed once more. "Female." Gilbert immediately jumped up, looking around. "Kesesese! Come out, little one! Have you come to see zhe awesome Gilbert?" He cooed and trotted around. You were getting a little scared. You knew how feisty males could be. You slowly stepped back, and luck had turn it's back on you, causing you to step on a twig. Ludwig's ears pricked up as he heard you step on the twig. He looked directly into your (e/c) eyes with his. He felt as if there was a magnetic attraction towards that female in the bush. He quickly trotted towards you. You began to panic, trying to get out of the bush, but your thick (f/c) fur had gotten stuck in a bush. You were cornered. What do I do, what do I do?! You thought frantically. In the distance, Roderich was smirking as he watched Gilbert run around, meowing like a maniac while Francis, for once, was lying down and soaking up the sun. You whimpered like a small kitten and tried to curl into a ball, protecting your backside with your tail as Ludwig approached even closer. Ludwig immediately slowed down, noticing that he had startled you. He padded your head with a paw softly. "Are you alright? I didn't mean to scare you." He said. You opened one eye slowly. "Y-Yes..." You replied quietly. Ludwig crouched down to your level. He leaned in the bush and nibbled at the branches that were tangled with your beautiful fur, breathing in your warm scent as he did so. He backed up and got out of your way so that you could get out of the bush. Roderich noticed where Ludwig was. "I think that Ludwig found the little one." He smiled. Francis looked up. "Onhonhon~ A pretty one, too!" He sat up straight, quickly licking himself to make a good impression of himself. Gilbert heard Roderich and ran to Ludwig. You slowly emerged from the bush and shook your (f/c) fur and limped beside Ludwig. "Thank you." You thanked quietly and winced at the pain in your leg. Ludwig crouched down to look at your leg. "Vhat happened to your leg, frau?" He looked into your (e/c) orbs. "Dog." You muttered. Gilbert smirked at you. "Hallo, I am zhe awesome Gilbert. I assume you have come to see me? Kesese~!" He meowed. "I came to look for shelter, actually." You said truthfully. "Vhat is your name?" Ludwig sat in front of you, smiling. You had a light shade of pink blush sweep across your face. "I-I'm (y/n)." You replied, smiling back. "I am Ludvig." He said, sitting up slightly taller. "And those other cats down zhere are Roderich and Francis." He said, motioning to them with his head. You nodded, inching closer to him. You were so cold, you were dying for warmth. Ludwig sat closer to you also, your (f/c) fur mixing with his. "Mein Gott, frau! You're like an ice cube!" He said, wrapping his tail around yours. You blushed even more. "Kesesese!" Gilbert purred. "I'll leave you two to get to know eachother better~!" He used his signature laugh and trotted away. Ludwig blushed like a bright rose looked at you with his crystal eyes. "Where do you live?" He asked. You looked at him sadly. "I don't have a home." Ludwig glanced over to the other cats who were chatting to eachother. "If you like, you could stay with us..." He blushed even more. You nuzzled his broad shoulder. "I would love to, thank you!" You said. You got up slowly, your leg had gotten stiff from sitting down. You began to limp to the other cats. Ludwig also got up and was padding along by your side. Ludwig sat beside Gilbert, and you were still struggling to join them. Francis felt sorry for you. "Oh, the little one has a bad leg, no?" You nodded and sat back beside Ludwig.  Roderich acknowledged you by nodding. "Hello." You smiled softly. "Hi." The rabbit was still on the ground, right in front of you. Your stomach was crying for it. You looked away at the grass. Ludwig nudged the rabbit closer to you. "Please, eat. All of us have already eaten our share." You mumbled a small 'thanks' to Ludwig before ripping of a leg of the rabbit and stripping every last bit of the meat off of it. After you finished eating your share, you licked your lips and yawned before crouching into a semi-sleeping position and wrapping your tail around yourself. Ludwig smiled and curled up beside you, while the other cats curled up as well. "Gute nacht." He said and licked the top of your head. "Goodnight." You softly replied and licked his cheek. This day did turn out pretty well.
